Motor Controller

The i-Drive is the most advanced and cost effective digital controller available to date, and has been designed specifically for applications such as walk-behind floorcare machines and small materials handling devices.

The electronics of the i-Drive are sealed against water ingress to IPX5 and, when the optional connector sealing system is fitted, the cable connections are protected to IPX4.

The i-Drive is available in 45A, 70A, 140A, 180A and 200A output versions for system voltages of 24V or 36V, and employs the very latest in motor control algorithms.

    Compact and Cost-Effective AC Controller

    Although primarily intended for Class 3, pallet truck type applications, the C3 controller is equally suitable for small ride-on machines. Two versions are available – 200Arms and 250Arms – thereby allowing the most cost-effective solution for an application. Flexible, yet simple programming means the C3 is compatible with all types of AC induction motor; while a dedicated thermistor input allows motor temperature to be measured and the power to the motor to be reduced if it is becoming too warm.

    Simple Motor Matching

    For ease of installation and efficient performance, the C3 can be ‘matched’ to any AC induction motor, using an auto-commissioning sequence. This simple 3-step process is launched via the C3 PC Programmer. No specialist measuring equipment is required, just the basic motor ‘nameplate’ data. Once commissioning has been completed on the first vehicle, the C3 programming file can be saved, copied and then written to other vehicles equipped with the same motor type, greatly reducing set-up time.

    Floorcare Machine Control System

    Trio+ HD controller is easily the most popular integrated control system on the market, and is used by the vast majority of the world's floorcare machine manufacturers. Since its introduction in 2000, nearly every new ride-on auto scrubber design has used the Trio+ HD controller to provide reliable, solid state control of all vehicle functions. On most applications, no other electronic components at all are required.

    The Trio+ HD is also available with UL approval.

    Aerial Work Platform Control System

    The Access is an integrated system to control the entire functionality of aerial work platforms including variable lift, lower and traction. The three modules of the system are connected simply and easily to enhance machine capability and reduce installation errors.

    The Access Control System consists of three modules as follows:

    The Joystick Module enables selection between Lift/Lower and Drive at the touch of a button, then precise positioning of the platform is achieved by variable joystick control.

    The Traction Module has two 100A peak variable speed outputs for permanent magnet motors, plus two associated outputs for electromagnetic brakes. The module connects to the Ground Control Module via a serial link, for simple, hassle free wiring.

    AC Induction and DC Motor Controller Family

    The Sigmadrive family of motor controllers and ancillary products have been developed for use in a wide range of electric vehicle applications such as Materials Handling, Airport Ground Support, Industrial, Utility and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Sigmadrive controllers possess many features and capabilities that will benefit the electric vehicle designer. 

    Sigmadrive is available in 3 frame sizes covering AC induction and most DC motor types, for traction, pump and power steering functions over a wide range of battery voltages and power outputs.

    Insulated Metal Substrate (IMS) technology is fully utilized to provide superior thermal performance and exceptional reliability.
