The Blade25 is a non-contact inductive position transducer capable of monitoring up to 25mm of linear travel or 90° of rotation.

The Blade25 Position Transducer is a solid-state device, using induction technology to monitor the position of a metallic object ('activator') that is mounted to or machined as part of the moving part of the application.

With a constant air gap between the moving part and the position transducer, mechanical wear of the transducer is eliminated providing excellent long-term reliability even in the most extreme operating environments.
The Blade25 position transducer houses two inductive coils that determine the position of the metallic activator, and has been designed to allow measurement of both linear (up to 25mm) and angular rotation (up to 90° approx) position. It is also possible to monitor non-uniform movement provided that the movement is repeatable.

The position transducer is supplied with 'BladeCOM' calibration software to allow simple reconfiguration of the device. The operational range, switch points, output modes and other advanced parameters can be set from within the software, with the sensor functionality shown via a real-time monitoring and diagnostics display.

Blade60 is a solid-state inductive position sensor with a configurable 60mm measurement zone, capable of monitoring linear and shallow-arc movement.

Blade60 is a fully programmable Inductive Position Sensor, capable of monitoring both linear and angular movement. The sensor is completely non-contact, using the latest induction technology to detect the position of a metallic object (often referred to as the 'activator') which is either attached to the moving part or machined into it.
The sensor has a 60mm zone in which the position measurement can be made. It is possible to monitor linear (up to 60mm), angular (up to 90° approx) and even non-uniform repeatable movement within this measurement zone. The measurement range limits can be re-programmed via our free BladeCOM software, so the full-scale output can be achieved over a smaller measurement range if required. For example the sensor can be programmed to provide a 0.25-4.2V output over just 30mm of the measurement zone.
The non-contact nature of this inductive position sensor ensures long-term reliability in dusty, abrasive, high vibration, moist and other harsh operating conditions. Unlike hall-effect devices, the inductive technology used ensures the sensor output will not drift with temperature and is unaffected by changing magnetic fields in the application.

Environmentally protected to IP67, the Blade60 Inductive Position Sensor is suitable for fully submerged installations and applications subject to salt spray or regular jet washing. The materials used are compatible with most aggressive industrial and automotive fluids, so mounting fully submerged within a vehicle transmission, for example, is possible.

Non-contact inductive rotary position sensor with fully configurable 0-360° measurement range. Fully sealed, submersible and suitable for extreme environments.

The Gill Blade360 Rotary Sensor is a solid-state inductive rotary position sensor, capable of measuring 360° rotation (0-359.9° with no dead band).
The sensor uses induction technology to sense the position of a metallic 'activator', mounted to (or formed as part of) the moving object.
The Blade360 Rotary Sensor has no moving parts and, with no contact between the sensor and the moving part of the application, the sensor will not suffer from mechanical wear through use. Sealed to IP67, the Blade360 Rotary Sensor is ideal for applications subject to harsh environments.

Multiple outputs are available as standard, including Analogue (0-5.5V), Switch, PWM and Serial. The output can be fully configured using the supplied BladeCOM software, allowing the full-scale output to be used over a smaller measurement range.

Non-contact displacement transducer capable of monitoring linear and angular movement, with the range determined by the shape of the target 'activator'

Dual Cavity is a unique non-contact displacement transducer that uses induction technology to detect the presence of a metallic object ('activator') within each of the transducer's two open sensing holes.
This unique arrangement allows for a wide range of linear or angular motion to be monitored and various output characteristics to be generated simply by changing the shape of the activator.
The Dual Cavity displacement transducer's analogue output varies symmetrically about 2.5 Volts - the output level with no activator present. This 2.5V is termed the "output reference voltage" and the nature and extent of variation from this reference level depends on the design and material of the activator. As standard this displacement transducer suits a total movement of 30 to 50mm travel at the sensing holes to get full-scale output with a good linear response.

The two sensing holes have opposite effects. Introducing an activator into the positive hole sends the level up from 2.5V, and into the negative hole down from 2.5V. This arrangement is extremely flexible, allowing a range of response characteristics to suit many applications. Good linearity can be obtained where required, and various types of non-linear behaviour can also be generated. For linear behaviour the activator arms are typically tapered and symmetrical.
