Model 9732-OAT - Multi-function

Model 9732-OAT - Multi-function

Because of its excellent ice-collection efficiency, the humble OAT gauge probe is
the first thing to attract and accumulate icing. Then, icing spreads to the thicker
airframe members with greater cross-sectional areas, such as the tailplane leading
edges, wing leading edges, and finally the windshield.

When a wing leading edge ices over, the aircraft may already be dangerously
accumulated with icing in unseen places. When the windshield finally ices over,
you know the airframe has become well involved in icing accretion.

Model 9732-OEM - Ice detecting transducer probe

Light weight, low cost optical ice-detecting transducer
probe detects the first 0.001"  of airframe icing aloft.
Thin profile eliminates ram air heating.  Attracts and
detects airframe icing instantly upon entering any icing domain, where liquid water changes phase to solid ice. Positive, unambiguous indication of airframe icing
conditions before ice becomes a problem on tailplane,
wings or struts.  Automates pilots' task of "looking for
ice" day or night, while on autopilot, or under heavy workload.  Eliminates guesswork; leaves nothing to interpretation
Key Features
• Analog rime ice
• NASA tested and documented
Patent protected
• Detects first 0.001" of ice
• Pulsed or DC operation
• Digital clear ice
• Quick to market

Model 9733 - Universal user interface board

Model 9733 - Universal user interface board

Ice*Meister™ Model 9733 is a universal user interface
system of circuit boards and plastic enclosures. It
interfaces any Ice*Meister™ sensor to any application
in aerospace or industry. 9733 provides realtime icing
status information to human operators and host systems.
It requires only a power source and a place to sit within
200 feet of any Ice*Meister™ optical sensor head or
probe. A lightweight, four-conductor cable connects the
interface to any sensor. 9733 indicates the sensor's real
time icing status with visible LEDs and single-pole,
single-throw relay contacts that mimic the LEDs.
Key Features
• Ice sensing sensitivity < 0.001"
• Weight: 1 oz.
• Dimensions: 5¼" x 1½"
• Color: Blue
• Power input: 10-35 VDC
    • Power consumption: <5W

Model 9734 - OEM - Industrial Ice Sensing Element

Model 9734 - OEM - Industrial Ice Sensing Element

Sensor element for ice, water and precipitation is a
general purpose sensor for all forms of water H20.
It offers many newfound benefits of ice sensing capability
in new applications where ice sensing has never been affordable before, or even available. It senses
optically-occluding snow, frost, dew, condensation, and
white (rime) ice by their degree of optical opacity.
It senses optically-clear water, raindrops and clear ice
by their optical index-of-refraction.

Model 9734-OEM monitors both the opacity and refractive
index of whatever substance is in contact with the probe surface. There are no moving parts. The sharp point of
the probe prevents accumulation of liquid rain and
standing water on the sensor; while at the same time it
attracts and accumulates ice and other freezing
precipitants.

Key Features
• DC operation
• No MHz clock
• Lightweight
• Low cost parts
• Low cost labor
    • Nothing to break
• Low cost fabrication
• 3mm diameter probe
• Extends 3/8 inch from face
• No loose parts

Model 9734 - Industrial Ice Detecting Sensor System

Model 9734 - Industrial Ice Detecting Sensor System

Industrial ice detecting sensor system is a general
purpose go/no-go ice-and-precipitation sensor that
passively removes standing water from the sensor
optics by force of gravity. It detects rime ice, snow,
frost and condensation by optical opacity, and clear
ice and rain by optical refraction. There are no
moving parts.

As shipped from the factory, Model 9734 is highly
sensitive; it detects the first 0.001" of ice or better.
As part of the installation process, you  "de-sensitize"
the system for your specific application by (1st )
selecting one of three icing-level relay outputs,
(2nd ) adjusting the laser drive, and (3rd ) adjusting
the amplifier gain. These three cascaded adjustments
provide an extremely wide range of system performance, appropriate to each different kind of application.
